The Berthelemot Clos des Mouches Rouge offers an elegantly structured and complex experience, with a core of vibrant red fruits, including fresh cherry, wild strawberry, and subtle blackcurrant. Hints of smoky earthiness and a delicate touch of spice add layers to the mid-palate. This full-bodied Pinot Noir is known for its velvety texture and smooth, well-integrated tannins, culminating in a persistent and refined finish that balances power with finesse.
Domaine Berthelemot is a family-run winery based in Beaune, Burgundy, rooted in a long tradition of viticulture. Owners Brigitte Berthelemot and her late husband, Jean-François, managed the estate, which spans several prized appellations in the Côte de Beaune, including Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, and multiple Premier Crus in Beaune. Their commitment to quality and a respect for the terroir led the winery to pursue sustainable practices, achieving full organic certification for their vineyards with the 2021 vintage. The estate continues to produce highly respected wines that express the unique character of their specific plots.
