The 2018 Le Petit Haut Lafitte is a medium-bodied red with expressive aromas of ripe black fruits, including blackcurrant, blueberry, and cherry. The nose also carries nuanced notes of cedar, tobacco, and licorice. On the palate, it is soft and polished, with integrated, silky tannins that frame the juicy dark fruit and subtle chocolate and spice undertones. The wine has a good sense of freshness and a complex, lingering finish. It is drinking well now and is a charming and classic representation of Graves terroir.
