Drawing on its age, the 2018 Valle Martello Prima Terra Montepulciano d'Abruzzo offers a fuller and richer profile than the standard bottling. On the nose, it presents aromas of cedar, mint chocolate, blueberry, and vanilla. This moves to a full-bodied palate that is chewy, dusty, and has a dense core of rich dark berries and chocolate flavors. The integrated tannins provide structure, leading to a long, chocolaty, and spicy finish.
